13 Surgeries for York County Pit Bull Attack Victim

Posted on: August 6th, 2011       Attorney Thomas Newell

In September of 2011, 5 more surgeries are planned for 9 year-old Ajia Brown. In June of 2010 he was savagely mauled by 2 pit bulls in Hanover PA. The York County dog bite victim underwent a total of 8 surgeries at Hershey Medical Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital.

The surgeons will perform 2 surgeries on the Pennsylvania pit bull attack victim to remove the ear expanders which were installed under the skin of his scalp. They will then operate on his rib cage to remove cartilage. The last 2 surgeries will involve layering the cartilage onto each ear lobe in an effort to rebuild them after they were torn off by the pit bulls.
