On Sept. 16, 2011, Whitehall Township Police issued 6 harboring a dangerous dog citations in the aftermath of a pit bull attack that killed a poodle and injured its owner. Bernadette Frable Kirk and her poodle were attacked on Labor Day by 6 pit bulls inside her home in the 5300 block of Pennsylvania Street in Whitehall, Lehigh County.
The pit bulls bit the woman all over her body as she was trying to save her dog. The PA pit bull attack victim was treated at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pennsylvania. A police officer informed The Morning Call that the residents were previously cited for allowing the pit bulls to roam unsecured off of their property.
Tammy Frable has been charged with 5 counts of harboring a dangerous dog in violation of the PA Dog Law. The victim also received a citation for harboring a dangerous dog.
