On January 14, 2013, a McKeesport PA dog owner plead guilty to child endangerment after her 2 day-old son was mauled to death by the family’s pet Husky in February of 2012.  As described in the Pittsburgh Tribune, Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Judge Edward J. Borkowski sentenced her to a total of 5 years of probation, as well as 6 months of house arrest.

HUSKY #4The Allegheny County dog attack victim was left alone in a baby carrier sitting on the floor of the living room while his mother was in another room.  She later heard the infant screaming and ran in to see her son covered in blood and the Husky nearby.  Litigation ensued over the fate of the vicious dog.  The Husky was ultimately sent to a sanctuary for dangerous dogs and former fighting dogs.
