A March 17, 2012 report on wpxi.com detailed the facts surrounding a March 16 pit bull attack in Allegheny County which will result in charges being filed against a Crafton Heights PA pit bull owner. Numerous children were playing at a public park when a pit bull attacked a young boy.
A security guard and police officer arrived to save the boy only to become victims themselves as the pit bull bit each of them. The officer fired several shots before the pit bull died. The Allegheny County PA dog bite victim was taken to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh to receive medical care. Numerous citations for violating the PA Dog Law are expected to be filed versus the irresponsible pit bull owner.
