On April 10, 2013, Attorney Thomas J. Newell filed a lawsuit in Adams County PA on behalf of an Adams County pit bull attack victim. The 6 year old girl had gone over to her neighbor’s home with her brother to play with a friend. Defendant Richard Sprouse instructed her to open the front door and enter his home after she had knocked twice. Surgeons re-attached the missing piece of her nose and also operated on the large dog bite wound to her right cheek. The young girl returned to Meritus on 23 occasions to undergo 2 hour hyperbaric oxygen treatment therapy sessions. Unfortunately, the physicians were not able to save the re-attached portion of her nose.
