On April 16, 2013, a Lehigh Valley dog bite victim hired Attorney Thomas J. Newell to represent him after he was viciously attacked by a friend’s Shar Pei. The teenager was at a classmate’s home when his friend gave his approval for the young man to bring the Shar Pei back into the house. As he was unhooking the dog’s collar from the leash, the Shar Pei bit his face.
The Lehigh County dog attack victim was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital. Emergency surgery was performed and the surgeons used 40-45 stitches to close the facial wounds. Additional surgeries will undoubtedly be needed to attempt to reduce the visibility of the significant facial scars.
