On Nov. 14, 2010, an Allentown PA man was charged with hitting an Allentown police officer who was assisting at a Lehigh Street accident scene. As described in The Morning Call, the Vine Street resident allegedly became upset at the Lehigh County crash site and sped away, striking the officer. He is then alleged to have resisted arrest. The Allentown driver is facing multiple criminal charges and is being held at Lehigh County Prison.
