On Sept. 20, 2010 a 24 year-old Bethlehem driver was killed in a multi-vehicle accident that he allegedly started by driving the wrong way on Rt. 22. According to The Morning Call, the Lehigh Valley resident was driving eastbound on the westbound lanes of Route 22 at approximately 5:00 a.m.
Pennsylvania State Police report that the negligent driver side swiped a westbound vehicle, veered across Route 22 and then was hit by another westbound car. His car veered off Rt. 22, off the shoulder of the highway and down a small embankment. PA State Police from the Bethlehem Barracks are involved in a full investigation of this fatal Route 22 car wreck.
