On Nov. 29, 2014, a black bear ran onto Route 33 in Monroe County, PA colliding with a vehicle in Hamilton Township. According to Allentown’s Morning Call, a woman was driving north on Rt. 33 Saturday evening when she struck the black bear. Pennsylvania State Police responded to the crash and were unable to locate the bear.
