On August 28, 2013, an Allentown driver was charged with DUI after an accident on I-78 in Salisbury Township. As described in The Morning Call, the defendant allegedly drove his car into the rear of a pick-up truck in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 78. The Lehigh Valley car crash victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. State Police reported that the defendant failed a field sobriety test.
