On Dec. 12, 2010 a Honesdale resident was killed in an auto accident in Cherry Ridge Township, Wayne County. According to The Pocono Record, the 26 year-old man was a passenger in a car that ran off Owego Turnpike and crashed into a tree. Eyewitnesses say that the Honesdale PA man was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
