On July 18, 2011, a 1 year-old child from Slatington died in a car accident in North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. According to wfmz.com, the little girl was being held by her father on his lap in the front passenger seat. A pick-up truck driver lost control of his vehicle on Old Post Road and collided with the minivan being driven by the girl’s mother. The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office ruled that the Lehigh County car crash victim died from head injuries suffered in the accident.
