On April 11, 2012, a car accident took place on Route 209 at the interesection with Seven Bridges Road. An out-of-state driver began to make a left turn from Rt. 209 when she suddenly slammed on the brakes and brought her SUV to a stop in the middle of the intersection.
A driver operating a taxi minivan was behind her also turning from Route 209. He was unable to avoid rear-ending the SUV. The Monroe County car accident victim was briefly knocked unconscious. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash.
