On July 5, 2011 an East Stroudsburg teenage driver was involved in a 1 car accident on Marshalls Creek Road in Middle Smithfield Township. According to the Pocono Record, the 17 year old driver had 2 teenage passengers with him when he drove off the road, hit a mailbox and then collided with a telephone pole. The driver was taken by ambulance to Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
