A September 13, 2013 car crash in downtown Reading almost caused catastrophic injuries to nearby pedestrians. According to wfmz.com, the 2 motor vehicles collided at the intersection of 8th Street & Penn Street. The vehicles were propelled forward and a woman with her 2 year old granddaughter had to jump out of the way to avoid being run down by the damaged cars.
