On Oct. 11, 2010, a 2 car crash on Route 209 near the NE Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike resulted in 4 injured. As described in The Morning Call, the 2 motor vehicles collided on Rt. 209 in Franklin Twp, Carbon County. The two most seriously injured PA car accident victims were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. Two other auto accident victims were taken to a local hospital in Carbon County.
