On Feb 26, 2012, a 2 vehicle crash on Rt. 309 in West Penn Township resulted in serious injuries to two occupants of the vehicles. According to The Morning Call, the Schuylkill County car crash took place at the intersection of Route 309 and Route 895 in the village of Snyders, West Penn Township. Both injury victims were flown to area trauma centers.
