A March 16, 2012 article in The Morning Call detailed a multi-vehicle chain reaction accident on Rt. 309 in Lynn Township. On March 14, a car crashed into a utility pole on Route 309 which lowered some power lines.
A truck then ran into some low wires and snapped off the top of the electric pole. Finally, another car ran into the broken pole as it was lying on Rt. 309. The driver of the 1st car fled the scene and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
