On Feb 22, 2011 a 4 vehicle accident took place on Rt. 33 in Northampton County. According to Lehighvalleylive.com, 3 automobiles slowed down in the northbound lanes of Route 33 as a herd of deer were crossing the highway. Unfortunately, a female driver allegedly dropped her cell phone and while trying to retrieve it, rear-ended one car and started a chain reaction accident on Rt. 33.
