On Oct. 25, 2014, a car crash in Limerick, Montgomery County, PA shut down Route 422. CBSlocal.com reported that the auto accident took place on the Pottstown Expressway near the Lewis Road exit. All 4 lanes of Rt. 422 were closed for several hours.
