On December 16, 2013, a one car crash on Rt. 422 in Montgomery County closed down the westbound travel lanes for almost 2 hours. As described on Sanatogapost.com, a driver of a 4 door sedan lost control of his car, crossed 2 lanes of travel on Rt. 422, hit a guard rail and then flipped over. Lower Pottsgrove and Limerick Police Departments responded to the scene of the Route 422 accident.
