On April 13, 2011, an unusual car crash on N. 5th Street tied up rush hour traffic in downtown Stroudsburg. According to the Pocono Record, a Honda Civic went in reverse and slammed into a SUV that was stopped behind the car. The SUV was forced into the front porch of a home on North Fifth Street. Traffic throughout Stroudsburg was detoured for an hour while emergency crews aided at the accident scene.
