Teen Driver Lets Passenger Steer Car & Crashes Into Tree

On March 10, 2011, a Lehigh Valley teenage driver asked his 15 year-old front seat passenger to steer his SUV so he could check a text message. The passenger grabbed the steering wheel and promptly crashed into a tree. As described in The Morning Call, the crash took place on Polk Valley Road in Lower Saucon Township. Both occupants received medical care at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA.
