Carbon County Pit Bull Attack Victim Has Facial Surgery

On Dec. 24, 2010, a Palmerton PA resident was viciously attacked by a pit bull at a family gathering in Macungie. The Carbon County pit bull attack victim sustained serious facial wounds. She was immediately driven to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown PA. A plastic surgeon performed facial surgery and nearly 30 stitches were needed to close the dog bite wounds.

The pit bull owner had been instructed to take the pit bull outside while all the guests were in the home. He resisted the sage advice and even went so far as to bring the pit bull into the house twice after others had taken it outside! This unprovoked pit bull attack was 100% avoidable had the PA pit bull owner exercised just a small amount of rational thought.
