On May 19, 2015, a Detroit man, nearly mauled to death by 12 pit bulls/pit bull mixed breed dogs, was awarded $100,000,000.00 by a Wayne County Circuit Judge in the civil suit versus the owner of the pit bulls, as well as the property owner. The dog attack victim lost most of his left arm, left leg & left ear.
