An April 17, 2012 article on horsham.patch.com reviewed a new dog ordinance passed by a Montgomery County PA Township Council to control problem dogs. Horsham Township passed a law that prohibits dogs from barking excessively and/or roaming unrestrained throughout Horsham Township neighborhoods.
Fines range from $100 to $500. This Montgomery County Township hopes its ordinance will serve as a supplement to the PA Dog Law to help reduce the many complaints they are receiving from their residents about dogs in the community. Areas of Kohler Park that include the dog park are exempt from the ordinance.
