LEHIGHTON AREA DOG BITE SETTLEMENTS

Location: Carbon County PA
Settlement: $22,880

Your Lehighton dog bite attorney successfully represented a Carbon County dog bite victim who was bitten by a German Shepherd. The teenager was walking in Indian Mountain Lakes when the dog lunged at her. Although the German Shepherd was on a leash, the dog sitter did not have it under control. This was not the first time this dog had attacked. It had escaped from its owners in 2009 and bit a woman in her right armpit.

The Carbon County dog attack victim sustained bite puncture wounds to her right arm and wrist area.  She was treated at Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital. Since it w as unclear whether the German Shepherd had been properly vaccinated, she underwent a series of 5 separate rabies injections over the course of the next month. She was left with 2 or 3 small areas of scarring. On November 22, 2010, Senior Judge Webb, during a hearing at the Carbon County Courthouse in Jim Thorpe, approved Attorney New ell’s Petition for Minor’s Com promise regarding the $22,880.00 settlement.

LEHIGHTON PA DOG ATTACK QUESTIONS

Q: I was bitten while inside my neighbor’s home in Lehighton. Is there a PA Dog Law violation?
A: Since the attack was inside the house, there is no failure to confine violation. If the dog had attacked previously, there is a possibility of proving that the Lehighton dog owner was harboring a dangerous dog.

Allentown PA Client Reviews

Dear Atty Newell,

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for your assistance and support. After dealing with initial trauma, I knew I had to find a savvy, experienced lawyer who specialized in personal injury cases to make sure I was fairly compensated for my injuries.

The Client Reviews and past settlements documented on your website were the primary reason I contacted you to represent me. And let me state that I am extremely pleased with my decision to do so. From your initial consultation visit at my home, I felt a sense of comfort and security that I was in good hands, and it dramatically reduced my stress level. You kept me well-informed of what was going on with my case, shielded me from the aggravation of dealing with the insurance companies, respectfully sought my opinion when necessary, and sternly protected my interests at all times.

I want you to know that I will be highly recommending you to anyone who is in need of a personal injury attorney. There is no doubt in my mind that you are one of the best in the business.
