On Sept. 2, 2010, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office filed vehicular homicide charges, as well as other criminal charges, due to the June 27, 2010 car-motorcycle accident that killed 5 riders.  According to the Evening Sun, a taxi driver, whose driver’s license had been recently suspended twice and who had over 20 traffic citations on his record, was responsible for the fatal motorcycle crash.  The defendant was a diabetic and had a very low blood sugar count that day due to his failure to eat.  The taxi driver swerved into oncoming traffic and was traveling between 90 and 100 mph just prior to the crash.
