Helmetless Biker Dies in Crash While Fleeing From Police

On March 12, 2011, a Lancaster County motorcycle rider died when he struck a utility pole while fleeing the police. As described on lancasteronline.com, the 35 year-old biker from Manor Township was driving erratically and police suspected he was DUI.

The biker rode his Harley-Davidson at high speeds thru Lancaster City, East Hempfield Twp. and West Hempfield Township. The ‘cyclist was near Mountville when he lost control of the H-D on Marietta Avenue. A Lancaster County deputy coroner pronounced the motorcycle rider dead at the scene. Pennsylvania State Police from the Ephrata PA barracks are leading the investigation into this fatal PA motorcycle accident.
