On Oct. 5, 2011, a Northampton County resident died in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 78 in Berks County. According to The Morning Call, the Wilson PA rider was eastbound on I-78 when he tried to pull onto the shoulder of the highway. Unfortunately, his motorcycle struck a piece of tire and he lost control of his ‘cycle. Pennsylvania State Police investigated the fatal motorcycle accident.
