On July 6, 2011, a Monroe County biker was injured in a motorcycle crash while exiting Rt. 33. According to The Morning Call, the Sciota resident was riding northbound on Route 33 and started to exit for Route 512. The Monroe County motorcycle rider lost control of his bike and crashed off the Rt. 512 exit ramp. He was taken by ambulance to Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg PA for medical care to his right ankle.
