On July 30, 2011, a motorcycle accident on Interstate 78 resulted in serious injuries being suffered by the biker. According to The Morning Call, a New Jersey rider was on I-78 when a strapped sleeping bag came loose and fell into his rear wheel. He was thrown from the bike and landed on the westbound lanes of Interstate 78. The ‘cyclist was admitted to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.
