On Aug. 15 2010 a York County Harley Davidson rider died after crashing on Felton Road. According to The York Dispatch, the Harley owner lost control of his cycle, went off the road at around 2:00 a.m. and struck a mailbox post. York Area Regional Police stated that the HD rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the motorcycle accident. The York County Coroner’s Office stated that the York County resident died of blunt force trauma.
The Daily Record reports that this is the 7th motorcycle accident death in York County in 2010. For comparison, there were 7 cycle deaths in the entire year of 2005.
