On Nov. 21, 2010, a Walnutport driver lead a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper on a high speed chase thru Lehigh County and Northampton County before he was finally arrested. As described in The Morning Call, a 35 year-old Walnutport man first attempted to flee the officer after he made a left turn on a red light on Airport Road.

The reckless defendant drove onto Route 22 allegedly traveling up to 90 mph before he got off at the Catasauqua exit. After running multiple stop signs, the Northampton County driver fled on foot near Union Blvd. where he was arrested. Among the many charges filed against the defendant were drunk driving, driving with a suspended license and reckless driving.
