On August 7, 2010 a Quakertown area pedestrian accident victim was struck by a hit & run driver just off Route 309.  The Good Samaritan had walked over to a car that was stopped in the travel lane with the driver seemingly unconscious.   The pedestrian turned off the ignition and tried to get the driver’s attention.  He awoke, turned on his car and hit the Quakertown resident’s knee while fleeing the scene via Rt. 309.  The Pennsylvania hit & run victim was treated for a knee injury at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA.  Criminal charges are pending against the Bucks County hit & run driver.
