On April 8, 2010, a Berks County pedestrian accident victim was killed on Route 422 after being struck by a Birdsboro driver.  The 51 year old Exeter pedestrian was walking along/in the eastbound lane of Rt. 422 at around 6:00 a.m. when he was hit by an Acura sedan driven by a 27 year old Berks County resident.

According to the Pottstown Mercury, another crash occurred as 2 vehicles tried to slow down at the accident scene.  A Berks County truck driver drove his tractor trailer into the rear of a car driven by a Reading PA resident.

The Berks County Coroner’s Office declared the pedestrian accident victim dead at the scene of the Rt. 422 crash.  The Berks County District Attorney’s Crash Reconstruction Task Force is investigating the crash to analyze what caused the pedestrian’s death.
