On Dec. 29, 2010, 3 small children were sledding in an alley in Reading PA when a neighbor’s pit bull jumped a 3 foot high fence and started to attack a 9 year old girl. The Reading PA pit bull attack victim tripped while trying to escape. After she fell to the ground, she used her arm to try to fend off the pit bull.
The pit bull then grabbed her right leg and bit it creating a large open wound. The pit bull began to try to drag the dog bite victim toward its home before it was stopped by the girl’s brother. He kept kicking the pit bull and finally it released its grip on the young girl. She was immediately driven to Reading Hospital where surgery was performed on her right leg.
