Rottweiler Killed by Police After it Attacks Officer

On Sunday June 10, 2012, a rottweiler was shot and killed in Philadelphia after it was released to attack a city police officer. According to abclocal.go.com, police were trying to arrest someone when the dog owner showed up and sicced the rottweiler on the Philadelphia police officers.

Another officer shot and killed the rottweiler after it had bitten the cop’s wrist. The rottweiler dog bite victim was treated at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Multiple criminal and PA Dog Law charges are expected.
