Vicious York PA Rottweiler Put Down

Posted on: October 14th, 2011       Attorney Thomas Newell

On Oct. 3 2011, the rottweiler that had viciously attacked a 2 year-old girl in York PA this past summer was euthanized. This unprovoked York County dog bite attack was not the first time this rottweiler had displayed vicious propensities. On June 4, 2011, the dog jumped over a 3′ tall fence & bit the child in the back of the head.

The rottweiler’s owners have plead guilty to multiple violations of the PA Dog Law, including harboring a dangerous dog. The financial impact on a dog owner after such a conviction/guilty plea oftentimes results in a decision to put the aggressive dog down.

The rottweiler attack victim is now recovering from both her physical, as well as mental injuries.
